Change is inevitable. The very minute a day breaks, change begins to occur.
But transformative change goes beyond ordinary, day-to-day developments. Transformative change is revolutionary. I’m one of those rare people who loves change as evidenced by my weirdly diverse skill set and numerous careers. With that in mind, I make work that depicts objects and concepts undergoing significant, almost unidentifiable change. I use symbolic forms, a broad color palette, and assorted materials to illustrate kinetic movement over time. The individual visual elements I adopt embody tumultuous themes, yet when multiple pieces are considered in aggregate, they tell the story of my life—who I am now, where I came from, and the great mystery of what’s coming next. |
